DD adds 50+ years of AV experience with new appointments

Two new job appointments have been mage at Dicker Data – Andrew Upshon has been named head of AV and Les Boros the AV and unified collaboration systems business development manager .

Already well established in the ProAV, collaboration technology and digital signage markets with vendors represented and technology in stock, Dicker Data is transforming meeting spaces and digital signage projects across multiple verticals including, corporate, commercial, retail, education and more.

Dicker Data says in a statement that it expects these appointments to further boost Dicker Data's capabilities in supporting organisations to digitally transform and help partners navigate the wide range of the latest AV, collaboration technologies and digital signage from brands including Cisco, LG, Poly, Lenovo, Logitech, Atdec, Cisco Meraki and SignageLive.

Upshon has over 20 years' experience across large global distributors and vendors including Tech Data, Ingram Micro, Electroboard, Toshiba Information Systems (UK - Europe), Future Electronics (UK) and Axiz (South Africa).

With a track record of growing businesses in manufacturing, distribution and reseller across IT, AV and UC industries, the new role will see Upshon apply his experience to ensure partners can leverage Dicker Data's expertise to pull together multiple brands to deliver a comprehensive solution to meet customers' requirements.

With over 30 years' experience, Boros moves to Dicker Data from a long tenure at Ingram Micro. Prior to this, he held roles at Sony Electronics and NEC Australia.

From presales to complex solution architecture support, Boros will focus on providing partners with the solutions designed to transform and enhance user experience in the Pro Av, UC and Digital Signage market.
